How to Draw a Tangent to a Curve in GeoGebra

The Tangent at a Point

1.

Open Algebra View and Graphics View under  View in  Menu.

2.

Type the function into Algebra View and press Enter.

3.

Input the point $(x_1,y_1)$ in Algebra View and press Enter. Here, $y_1=f(x_1)$.

4.

Select the tool Tangents  in Toolbar, then click the point, followed by the graph you have made. The equation for the tangent will appear in Algebra View.
